Guåhan Sustainable Culture (GSC), in partnership with The Guam Department of Agriculture Division of Aquatic and Wildlife Resources (DAWR), announces their next free hunter safety education course on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 8:00am to 5:00pm at the GSC Food Resiliency Hub in Windward Hills, Yona.
This comprehensive 8-hour course, taught by DAWR's certified volunteer instructors, is part of the Ginen I Halom Tåno' program and provides essential training for new and youth hunters interested in ethical feral pig management across Guåhan.
Following the success of the program's first mentored hunt in January, DAWR and GSC are expanding opportunities for island residents to gain hunting skills and contribute to protecting local agriculture from the island's growing feral pig population.
