GSC High School Internship Program

Guåhan Sustainable Culture (GSC) is seeking 7 motivated high school juniors and seniors to join our paid internship program focused on CHamoru culinary heritage and sustainable food systems. This Newman's Own Foundation funded opportunity runs from May-December 2025, combining summer employment (20-30 hours/week) with after-school commitments (6-12 hours/week).

Interns will gain valuable experience in leadership, cultural preservation, and sustainable agriculture while working alongside CHamoru elders at our Food Resiliency Hub in Yona and partner school sites. Responsibilities include developing educational materials, leading youth activities, documenting traditional recipes, and facilitating community cooking sessions.

Earn $12-15/hour plus transportation support, community service credit, and professional references. No prior experience required—just bring your interest in CHamoru food and culture, and willingness to learn!
